International News: While the Muslim countries of the Middle East have criticized Israel's Internal Security Minister Ben Gvir's visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Yemen's Houthi rebels have called it punitive and have launched three missile attacks on Tel Aviv. The Houthi rebels say that this is not forgivable and Israel will be punished for this. According to Al Mayadeen, as soon as the news of Ben Gvir's visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque was received, the Houthi rebels fired three missiles. Along with these missiles, the Houthi rebels also carried out some drone attacks on Israel.
According to Israeli media, the sound of sirens was heard in many areas due to the missile attack. Officials are currently investigating how much damage these missiles caused.
According to Houthi spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sari, one missile was fired at Jaffa, one at Ashkelon, and one at the coastal areas of Palestine. Apart from these 3 missile attacks, some drone attacks were also carried out on Israel. However, Israel shot down the drones in the air.
Sari says that Yemen will not remain silent on the humiliation being inflicted on Muslims. We will attack Israel as long as the Jewish government of Israel continues to persecute Gaza and its people. Yemen said that attacks on Israel will be intensified in the coming days.
Israel is on the back foot over the visit of its minister Ben Gvir to Al-Aqsa Mosque. Many Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia and Jordan, have condemned Israel. This visit of the Israeli minister is being described as provocative. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has maintained silence on the entire issue.
At the same time, the Prime Minister's Office says that the status quo will remain there. Only prayers will be allowed in Al-Aqsa. On Sunday, a video of Israel's Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir came out. In this video, Ben Gvir was worshiping according to Jewish customs in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, after which Israel came on the radar of Islamic countries.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem is considered the third holiest site of Islam. Until 1967, this mosque was under the control of Jordan, but Israel snatched it from them. Israel says that this is the holy place of the Jews, and it has been named Mount Temple.
However, later under an agreement, Jordan was declared its custodian, and the responsibility of the security of the mosque was given to Israel. That means the administrative control is still with Israel.
